With a head office in Beckenham and a northern office in Preston, Eco Approach is a leading property services contractor, specialising in compliance, certification, heating systems, electrical installations, servicing & repairs and energy efficiency improvements.

Utilising both direct labour and subcontractors, Eco Approach visits over 10,000 properties per month across the UK carrying out a variety of services. This is split between a B2C element working on behalf of landlords and homeowners directly and a B2B model working with housing associations, energy companies, local authorities, government organisations, manufacturers and managing agents etc.

Eco Approach prides itself on being innovative and ambitious in its pursuit of disrupting the long standing property contractor industry, without compromising on quality.

The role will consist of 

Eco Approach is looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Smart Metering. The Smart Metering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and a proven track record of successfully managing field teams.

  • Working from our offices based in Beckenham
  • Managing a mixed team of direct labour and subcontract engineers with an internal support team.
  • To drive growth within the business.
  • Deliver on-the-job technical, formal/informal coaching to create shifts in behaviour, to deliver high performance.
  • Manage performance, provide ongoing feedback, and ensure development plans are in place that address, training, development, and talent progression needs.
  • Manage complex and/or escalated queries and complaints; resolve issues and enable root causes to be identified and addressed.
  • Ensure team delivery against operational targets, standards, policies & procedures, and business strategy.
  • Manage conduct, operational and regulatory risks.
  • Coach the team on safety, quality control and productivity outputs, ensuring that all work complies with current codes of practice, standards, and legislation, particularly Health, Safety & Environmental.

Required skills:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a manager within the smart metering industry
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
  • Ability to work to a job management system.
  • Ability to work from instruction and make decisions as needed with minimal supervision.
  • Friendly and approachable nature with great communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail with excellent time management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
