With a head office in Beckenham and a northern office in Preston, Eco Approach is a leading property services contractor, specialising in compliance, certification, heating systems, electrical installations, servicing & repairs and energy efficiency improvements.

Utilising both direct labour and subcontractors, Eco Approach visits over 10,000 properties per month across the UK carrying out a variety of services. This is split between a B2C element working on behalf of landlords and homeowners directly and a B2B model working with housing associations, energy companies, local authorities, government organisations, manufacturers and managing agents etc.

Eco Approach prides itself on being innovative and ambitious in its pursuit of disrupting the long standing property contractor industry, without compromising on quality.

  • Compliance & Certification
  • Contracts
  • Retrofitting

The role will consist of 

The Head of Health, Safety and Compliance will be responsible for the developing and delivering of the HSE strategy and working with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with the wider business strategy and objectives. The Head of HSE will be able to communicate clear and concise goals, yet maintain a collaborative, team-oriented approach. The successful candidate will drive a positive change from compliance based to a culture drive HSE environment. The role will be focused strongly on Health & Safety in the early stages but will develop to encompass Eco Approach’s future aspirations for environmental and sustainable compliance.

Principal Accountabilities:

● Overall accountability for HSE performance.
● Participate as part of the leadership team.
● Create the vision and provide leadership for HSE matters across Eco Approach.
● Complete a gap analysis of the business and identify shortfalls
● Challenge all existing policies and procedures, promoting continual improvement
● Design and implement new processes and ensure they are delivered company-wide
● Work with all levels of management to understand their team’s requirements and what H&S practices should be followed
● Writing policies and keeping abreast of any HSE/ legal changes
● Ensuring that Eco Approach meets all requirements by law and key client contracts.
● Work in collaboration with Eco Approach’s field management teams to ensure
compliance
● Work in collaboration with Eco Approach’s audit team to ensure compliance
● Ensure we have a robust compliance process for onboarding workers across multiple
workstreams
● Ensure our fleet of vehicles are compliant and we are reducing our vehicle incident
rate
● Maintain all safety and process documentation including carrying out annual reviews
and being accountable for the version control

Qualifications & Experience

● NEBOSH diploma NVQ level 5/6 qualification in Health and Safety or similar
● CMIOSH or working towards
● ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO9001 Lead auditor with experience of internal auditing
● Self-motivated and able to work independently with a flexible approach to working hours.
