WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a highly organised, technically minded, and proactive Retrofit Design Coordinator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of PAS 2035, building physics, and retrofit measures, with the ability to coordinate design documentation and act as a key link between survey, design, coordination, and installation teams.

You’ll play a central role in ensuring designs are accurate, compliant, and effectively communicated across all stakeholders by:

  • Supporting the creation and management of retrofit design documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with PAS 2030/2035, Building Regulations, and scheme requirements (ECO4, GBIS, SHDF etc.)
  • Acting as a central point of coordination between Assessors, Designers, Coordinators, Installers, and Clients
  • Providing accurate technical information, drawings, and specifications to support project delivery

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare retrofit design documents for measures (insulation, ventilation, heating, solar PV, renewables)
  • Collate information from survey data, assessment reports, and improvement option evaluations (IOEs)
  • Upload and maintain design packs, drawings, and specifications in document management systems
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on correct material specifications
  • Support risk assessments, ventilation/moisture strategies, and medium-term retrofit plans
  • Carry out enabling works checks (scaffolding layouts, access, sequencing)
  • Prepare compliance submissions such as G98/G99/ENA applications and planning documents
  • Provide technical drawings and support costing exercises
  • Monitor design changes and maintain version control throughout the project lifecycle

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Excellent coordination, organisational, and communication skills
  • Experience in retrofit design support or a construction/engineering background (preferred)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 3 in Retrofit Advice/Design Support) (desirable)
