WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to support our SHEQ function by ensuring our projects and operations comply with industry regulations, accreditation standards, and client requirements.
The Compliance Officer will work closely with the SHEQ Manager and SHEQ Advisors to maintain and monitor compliance systems, support audits, and provide assurance to clients and regulators that Eco Approach is consistently delivering to the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
• Maintain and upload compliance documents, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Manage and update the Gas Safe Register and other statutory compliance systems.
• Maintain company systems to ensure records are current and accessible.
• Support the development and promotion of a strong safety culture across the organisation.
• Manage company assets, including ordering, distributing, tagging, and maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate the production of ID cards and ordering of company uniforms.
• Assist with travel logistics, including booking hotels for staff as required.
• Provide administrative support on fleet-related issues, working with internal teams and suppliers.
• Liaise with external partners and other stakeholders to ensure smooth compliance processes.
• Work collaboratively with management across various departments to align compliance activities.
• Support the SHEQ Manager in preparing for external and internal audits, accreditations, and client reviews.
• Track and ensure closeout of non-conformances, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Help ensure compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and UK HSE legislation.
• Collate data and prepare compliance reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Support the rollout of policies, procedures, and training to ensure consistent application across projects.
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to monitor alignment with company compliance requirements.
SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential:
• Previous experience in a compliance, quality, or SHEQ support role (construction, energy, or renewables desirable).
• Strong knowledge of compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with compliance/reporting software.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
