As we expand our Retrofit Division in the Northwest from our Preston office, we aim to bring our expertise to both private and public sector funding opportunities in the energy efficiency market.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Powerflush Engineer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, technically skilled, and customer-focused, with strong problem-solving abilities and pride in delivering work to a high standard.
You’ll carry out professional power flushing, chemical cleaning, and system maintenance on domestic heating systems while ensuring accurate reporting and excellent customer communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out power flushing and chemical cleaning of domestic heating systems.
- Diagnose and resolve system performance issues such as cold spots, noisy radiators, or poor circulation.
- Conduct system water testing, chemical dosing, and inhibitor treatments.
- Provide customers with clear reports, advice, and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation in line with company policy.
- Work independently across multiple sites in the South East.
- Ensure all work meets ECO Approach’s quality and compliance standards.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Proven experience in power flushing, heating system maintenance, or plumbing (minimum 2 years preferred).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong understanding of central heating systems and water treatment principles.
- Ability and confidence to carry out Wetworks Upgrades (installing radiators, pumps, magnetic filters, piping, etc.).
- Full UK driving licence (clean) and own vehicle.
- Must have own Powerflush Machine.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, neatly, and independently.
DESIRABLES
- G3 Qualification to install Unvented Cylinders.
- Experience installing Vented Cylinders.
- Gas Safe registration or heating engineer background (desirable but not essential).
