Are you ready for 2030?

From 2030, you will need an EPC C rating to rent your property. Failure to comply could see fines of up to £30,000 per property.

For landlords who try to manage this themselves – finding assessors, comparing contractors, scheduling works around tenants, chasing paperwork – the process is slow, expensive and stressful. Most discover too late that they’ve paid too much, waited too long or still fallen short of the required rating.

Landlords who act now will avoid all of that.

Take action today

The 2030 deadline is not the only deadline you’re facing.

The SAP to HEM switch in 2027 – the methodology used to calculate EPC ratings is changing. Under the new Home Energy Model, properties currently rated a low C may drop to D. If your EPC is old, the same risk applies even under the current SAP methodology. Acting now means you’re assessed and compliant before the goalposts move.

0% VAT on energy improvements ends 31st March 2027 – after that date, you pay full VAT on the same work. The cost of waiting is real and it’s measurable.

The Renters Rights Act – a compliant, energy-efficient property gives you documented grounds to increase rent. That improves your returns and your property’s value.

The rush is coming – as 2030 approaches, assessors will be booked solid, contractors will be scarce and prices will spike. The landlords who moved early will be compliant and profitable. The ones who waited will be competing for whatever capacity is left.

From survey to certification - the whole job, done by one company

Most landlords who try to handle MEES compliance themselves end up managing a small army of different suppliers – surveyors, installers, certifiers – with no single person responsible for the outcome.

We do the whole job. One company, one point of contact, one guaranteed result.

Whether you have a single property or a portfolio of hundreds, our MEES service takes you from initial survey to certified compliance – at the lowest cost and with the least disruption to your tenants.

You get:

  • One point of contact throughout the entire process
  • One paper trail from survey to certification
  • One compliant property – guaranteed in writing

Survey

We arrange a full retrofit survey directly with your tenant - you don't need to coordinate it. Our assessor examines walls, loft, heating, windows and more to build a complete picture of your property.

Recommend

We identify the cheapest and least disruptive combination of measures that guarantees your property reaches EPC C. No unnecessary work. No inflated specifications.

Install

Our own teams carry out all the work to MCS and Trustmark standards, fully insured and backed by long warranties. We don't subcontract and then disappear.

ABCDEFG

Certify

Once the work is complete, we issue your new EPC. Your property is compliant, legally lettable and protected against future fines.

Guaranteed Compliance

Any contractor can promise good work. We guarantee the outcome.

That guarantee is in writing. It is the reason Nationwide chose us to pilot this service with customers of The Mortgage Works – and the reason the Financial Times, The Negotiator and Mortgage Solutions have all covered what we do.

With fines of up to £30,000 per property and a deadline that is closer than most landlords realise, the question is not whether to act. It is whether to act now or pay more later.
